About Me
Hi there, I am Yours Truly from Wanderlust by Yours Truly. I am a twenty something year old with a burning passion to see the world. My parents think I'm a little crazy for wanting to go to every place I read about and hear about! How could you blame me? This world has so much to offer! The natural wonders and the unparalleled beauty some places are blessed with, the rich history through the golden ages and gruesome wars, and the various cultures transitioned over the centuries are all there for us to see and learn if we allow ourselves to.

I am a Sri Lankan whole lived in Canada for about 7 years. Since my parents live in Sri Lanka, I would spend all of my vacation time visiting them in Sri Lanka. This hunger to see the world and explore it began with a new year resolution to visit at least one new place every year instead of going back to Sri Lanka for every vacation. Instead of going to Sri Lanka to meet them, we met at the middle. A new and exciting trip for all of us! Two birds in one shot! And so it began.
I decided to take the great Dalai Lama's words,"once a year go someplace you've never been before", to heart! Since then I have continued to have this as a recurring New Year resolution, one that is not meant to be broken! I have visited many countries and places, and have learnt a lot about their cultures and history, and admired the beauty that is unique to each place.

I always planned my travel itineraries by reading through many websites and articles to find the best way to spend my time while abroad. I enjoy reading about places, their cultural values and historical facts. I look into all these areas when I plan my trip. At Wanderlust by Yours Truly, this is exactly what I would like to do for any other person interested in exploring these beautiful destinations of the world, but don't have the time to do the research.

With this blog, I hope to inspire others, specially from my beautiful country Sri Lanka, to broaden their horizons and to explore this world. With Wanderlust by Yours Truly I hope to help future travelers plan their vacations according to their budgets and their idea of a perfect vacation.
